Houston Criminal Defense Attorney

Paul Doyle, a former prosecutor, has over 15 years of criminal law experience. Paul has defended people in both federal court and state court against all felony and misdemeanor charges. Paul devotes his entire practice to criminal defense. Paul serves clients all over Texas, including the Southern District of Texas, Katy, Pasadena, The Woodlands, Baytown, Conroe, Deer Park, Clear Lake, Friendswood, Galveston, Lake Jackson, Missouri City, Pearland, Rosenberg, Sugar Land, Texas City, Alvin, and others.

Experienced Criminal Investigator

As a prosecutor in the Major Offenders Division, Paul handled cases from the investigative phase of the case all the way through trial. Paul was involved in complex investigations for crimes like illegal gambling, fraud, theft, murder, or child sexual assault. Paul ensures all his client’s cases are thoroughly investigated in order to show the other side of the story that is often left out in a law enforcement investigation.

At a very young age, Paul knew he wanted to be a trial lawyer. Paul’s father was a trial lawyer who would regularly take Paul to the courthouse to meet judges and watch trials. Knowing this at an early age allowed Paul to ensure he would have the educational foundation to be the best. He graduated from Rice University with numerous academic and athletic honors and then received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law, one of the nation’s finest.

Paul has been recognized as one of Houston’s Top Lawyers and rated by Super Lawyers the last five years in a row.

Rare Insider Experience

Paul’s experience in Special Crimes allows him the unique ability to evaluate a case from the most technical legal and investigative perspective. As a Special Crimes prosecutor, Paul was privy to secret cutting edge techniques used by law enforcement to solve crimes. Through this experience, Paul realized that these techniques are not used on a daily basis and many times would prove a person innocent rather than guilty. Paul uses this to hold the government to its burden of proving its case beyond a reasonable doubt. The government must be reminded that an accused is presumed innocent and has no burden.

Individual and Professional Approach

Once Paul is hired, the client is represented by Paul. Paul believes communication is essential in the successful resolution of a case. Paul makes it a point to be available and to answer any concerns a client has. While many lawyers have large caseloads, Paul maintains a small volume of cases to ensure his clients receive the individual treatment they deserve.
